Easy To Make Coat Rack/Message Center

Posted on January 30, 2017 by Michelle Rynn

This project is so easy, you will wonder why you haven't made one before.

First, start with a sturdy erasable chalk board.

Second, attach hooks to the bottom of the chalk board.  There are a variety of hooks you can purchase at any craft or hardware store.

Third, hang on the wall using strong wall hangers to secure properly.

Use your Artisan's Effect markers to write your special messages, reminders, etc.

Keep your markers handy so everyone in the family can write notes.  Each person can use their favorite color for their particular messages.

Have fun!

Crafting Memories

Posted on December 05, 2016 by Michelle Rynn

Unpacking treasures from years past to decorate your home can be a wonderful experience.   Even more special are the treasures you make.  They can be simple projects that can still hold lots of memories.

This photo frame that I made last year is a perfect example of a craft that was easy to do, but is a great addition to the holiday decor.

I purchased this wood craft frame, painted it black, and then used Artisan's Effect chalk markers to write my message and add the holly berry design.  The bright, bold colors of the markers look fantastic on this piece.

Hope you try this project and cherish your creation for years to come.

Dia de los Muertos Decor

Posted on September 09, 2016 by Michelle Rynn

The art of Dia de los Muertos decor has become increasingly popular.  The vibrant and intricate designs can be quite stunning and also can be replicated.

Especially during the Fall season, items to decorate such as skulls can easily be found at any craft store.  By using Artisan's Effect markers, you too can enjoy creating beautiful pieces of art.

I simply purchased a papier-mache skull.

Then I painted it using white paint.

Next, I used Artisan's Effect chalk markers to create my designs on the skull.  I had so much fun drawing on the skull.   The bright colors really stand out.

#1)  The reversible tips on our chalk markers that are in our 8 or 10 packs are chiseled and bullet tip that help give you the ability to do this beautiful detail work.

#2)  The vibrant colors in the 8 pack include:  orange, red, yellow, blue, green, pink, purple, white.  The 10 pack includes all these fabulous colors plus black and brown (great for outlining and special touches).

Have fun with this project!
