Summertime Entertaining Tip #1

Posted on May 14, 2016 by Michelle Rynn

The weather is getting warmer, and it's time to entertain outside.  It's wonderful to eat outside and enjoy the summer sun.  One way to make the experience more pleasant is to secure your napkins in a cylinder shaped vase.

Using Artisan's Effect chalk markers, you can easily label the glass vase.  And when you want to remove the design, all you need is a damp cloth.

You can use any of our chalk markers, but for this project I used our new line of Amazing Craft Markers that have a finer tip.

Spring Is A Time To Freshen Up Your Home

Posted on March 28, 2016 by Michelle Rynn

I love fresh herbs.  Their scents and flavors are wonderful.  Spring is a great time to plant herbs and why not decorate with them too.  Using Artisan's Effect chalk markers to label clay pots with the names of the herbs you plant can be both a useful and decorative function.  These beautiful planters can be a beautiful touch to your kitchen and easily made using chalk markers.

Easy Way To Decorate A Flower Pot

Posted on March 18, 2016 by Michelle Rynn

Decorating a flower pot is easy with Artisan's Effect liquid chalk markers. Their vibrant colors look great directly on this clay pot or on the black chalkboard paint that I used on this pot. What a great way to create a special gift or simply to decorate for your home.

Easter Centerpiece Bouquets

Posted on March 08, 2016 by Michelle Rynn

Are you looking for some new Easter centerpieces that look great and are easy to make?

This Easter egg bouquet takes just a few steps.

First, write on plastic Easter eggs any message you would like using Artisan's Effect Chalk Markers.  This one spells out "Happy Easter."

With the vibrant colors of Artisan's Effect Markers, the eggs look great.

Next, I placed flower foam into a container and placed artificial flowers into the foam.  I then used a hot glue gun to glue each egg into the center of each flower- spelling out Happy Easter.  Next, I placed Easter grass into the container to cover the foam- instant centerpiece.

Another centerpiece I did was also simple to make and looks terrific too.

I purchased a wooden cutout of a cross.

Next, I painted it with white paint and chalkboard paint.

Then, I used Artisan's Effect Chalk Markers to write my message.  The vibrant colors look beautiful on this piece.

I placed artificial flowers into flower foam in a container and then used a hot glue gun to glue the cross to the flowers.  Lastly I added Easter grass to cover the foam.

A wonderful centerpiece for your home or church event.

More Easter Decorating Fun

Posted on February 26, 2016 by Michelle Rynn

I always enjoy using Artisan's Effect chalk markers to decorate for various holidays.  Two projects I did recently are a decorative egg and an Easter wreath.

I saw this black colored craft egg at the store, and I had to take it home and add color to it.  I drew a floral design on it, but you can easily personalize one of these eggs with a name or maybe even a favorite sports team name.

The Easter wreath was another simple project.

I purchased a rabbit shaped wooden cutout.

Then I painted it with two coats of white acrylic paint

Then I used Artisan's Effect Chalk Markers to create my floral design on the painted cutout.  Lastly I hung it in the center of my door wreath.

Easter Egg Decorating Made Easy

Posted on February 19, 2016 by Michelle Rynn

As a family, we always enjoy decorating for different holidays, and of course at Easter time coloring eggs is always a favorite.

This year we decided to use our Artisan's Effect chalk markers to create designs on paper eggs and plastic eggs we purchased at the craft store.

The markers worked great for all of us.  My five year old was able to easily draw on the eggs, my nine year old could create her bold color choices, and I was able to do fine detail work.

Do you teach Sunday school or are planning an Easter event for children?

These markers are perfect for decorating craft eggs.

Make sure you take advantage of the free shipping on my site!

And, yes our dog Max had to be a part of the fun!
